NIke KD 7 "Good Apple" - How to approach scoring buckets

A week ago, as I landed in Penang Island, I had hopes that I would stumble upon these KD 7 "Good Apples", but as faith would have it, they were nowhere to be found. Nor did I find any apples, lots of Durians though. LOL!

Anyways, what do an apple orchard and a basketball court have in common? According to KD, A LOT! KD views the basketball court similar to an orchard where every shot is an apple. From there, the geniuses at Nike came up with the inspiration for the Nike KD 7 "Good Apple".

All kidding aside, the NBA season is about to kick off in 2 weeks times and this is already KD's 8th or 9th colorways that released to the public already. And KD has even played a single game into the new NBA season yet. Absolutely BRILLIANT marketing by Nike!

Nike Air Command Force - the bring back aka RETRO

Honestly speaking, these don't do a damn thing for me. When these joint first drop in the mid 90's hardly anyone wanted them due to the popularity of the Reebok PUMP at that time. Now, since Reebok has fallen way off that chart of sneaker popularity, and Nike has reign supreme in almost every category, everyone and their momma now wants a piece of the PUMP wannabes.  However, after saying all that, there is a little bit of me that's glad Nike decided to bring these baby for a trip down memory lane. Even better, the Nike Air-Fit PUMP technology will still be intact for this November 8th release. SO if this is something that you all are looking forward to have on your feet to ball-in or just to break necks, best get some cash ready, $200 in the U.S or around 2.5 million rupiah.

Nike Kobe 9 ELITE 'Influence' - Influence by whom or what?

No Nike Kobe Collection is ever complete without a truly outrageous colorways. There are none more outrageous than this year's offering, the Nike Kobe 9 ELITE - "INFLUENCE". Influence by what you might ask, well we can only speculate for now, but based on the colorways it might be based off other signature shoes. You can actually see hints of the KD VI colorways, and a few colors based of LeBron's. The friendly orange swoosh even in Penang

Oh my...seems that it's almost been a year since I update my blog. During that time tons of sneakers have dropped, I managed to relocate to a different continent, and about the only constant thing is the growing dominance of the Swoosh in all sneaker category. By now, we all know that Kobe Bryant is an avid and dedicated soccer fan. So Nike decided to create  tribute to Kobe’s love of the sport with the KOBE 8 MAMBACURIAL, a Kobe signature basketball shoe inspired by the unique design of the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX football boot.  Since its launch 15 years ago, the Mercurial has always stood out from the rest. Bold and exciting, ultra lightweight and worn by the best in the game, the boot’s color and design ensure its players are noticed on the pitch.  The KOBE 8 MAMBACURIAL fuses key design attributes of basketball and soccer shoe uppers and includes a number of details borrowed from the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX.
