Reebok Court Victory Pump - Michael Chang Tennis shoe

Back in the early 1990s, there was a war brewing, not the war in the middle east, or in Bosnia, but it's on the tennis court between TWO well endorsed Tennis players. One was the uber-flamboyant Andre Agassi from the Nike Tennis Team and the other is the man that keeps beating Agassi in almost every tournament, with Team Reebok, Michael Chang. Ask Agassi now and he'll tell you that he hated Mike Chang, simply because MC was more ready, he was well prepared and he was a winner. Not that Agassi wasn't a winner, but you'll get a different perspective of that guy after you read his book. But Anyways, Reebok did them right back then and now the MC Court Victory is back once more. Just at the right time when Reebok is FINALLY going to re-release the goodies from their Vault. We've seen Iverson's, Kamikaze & Shaq's stuff is coming too, so get your money tight, there's no better options of retros like right now, go get 'em! Images via Mr R Sports

PUMA - Spring & Summer 2012 Preview

PUMA as a brand has always been the lame duck in the performance department. Yeah they started out pretty well back in the 70's with Clyde Frazier rockin' PUMA when he played for the Knicks and made the PUMA Clyde a popular lifestyle shoe. But they totally screwed up with Vince Carter with their BBALL kicks. Thank goodness for Usain Bolt. The Jamaican sprinter is with PUMA and that's kind off their jump start into the running performance market. But, it seems that PUMA knows where their cash cow is, LIFESTYLE shoes. So check out their lifestyle offering for sprint & summer 2013, brought to us all by Suelas De Goma

Woei X Asics Gel Lyte III - 'Cervidae' - so pretty

I know this is a late entry, when this superbly made collaboration dropped in the states 2 weeks ago,  I did not get a chance to do a write up about it due to the 4th of July vacation and I just totally forgot that the shoe dropped on the 7th. Of course from what I heard, they were no where to be found in CHI-City anyways. But I did had a chance to grab some delicious Japanese Kare though. (Above) The cute girl that served the Kare was dressed very appropriately and was cute like the Japanese dorama star: Inoue Mao. Since I was not able to grab the kicks, I thought I would share the official images from Asics & WOEI. If anyone reading this knows where I can grab a 10.5, LMK.

Nike Zoom Kobe VII “FC Barcelona” - Europe ONLY

Following last year's release of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI "FC Barcelona", Nike is once again ready to add to the LIMITED EDITION repertoire by releasing the Nike Zoom Kobe VII System "FC Barcelona" for the European market ONLY. Those of us in the United States were basically left wondering WHY? a signature basketball of an American NBA player made by Nike, an American company (although the shoe itself is made in China) released in EUROPE only? Well, that's because Nike is trying to create a buzz out there in Europe where the brand with the three stripes rule the FOOTBALL/SOCCER landscaped. So what better way to collaborate Kobe's love for soccer than to add 'subtle' touches to a great performance shoe than to add bizarre colorings and the FCB logo. I am not a soccer fan, I've only known of these football clubs because they are a Nike team and because Kobe is a fan of the club, other than that, I really don't care much about soccer football clubs, unless they are in an Olympic setting or during the World Cup. Anyways, check out these FCB Kobe VII due out next week in Europe's Niketown & House of Hoops and let see if you can notice anything else aside from the shoes. Cheers!
