Chicago was hit by a major blizzard/thundersnow starting from Tuesday around 2pm until yesterday just after 11am CST. Over 20 inches of snow accumulated, making it the third highest accumulated snow in the history of the city. The WIND however was a different story. I was fortunate to have electricity & heat during and after the blizzard, some were not as fortunate. For certain others trying to commute home, they were stranded on Lake Shore Drive for at least 9 hours before having to abandoned their vehicles.
