At this point in time, I believe almost everything that we need to sustain life on earth has been created. The challenge now is how we can evolve and make more INNOVATIVE product offerings.
Nike is continuing its pursuit in terms of making their performance products lighter i.e. Zook Kobe IV, V & VI. Last I heard, Adidas & Puma are right behind Nike i.e. Adi Zero & Puma Fas. Reebok introduced those Zig Tech, the energy drink for your feet. But aside from performance Nike is behind several steps from Adidas. The Jeremy Scott X Adidas collaboration with the Teddy Bear shoes & the WINGS shoes are insanely popular and it is probably THE most talked about and anticipated collaboration. Putting a Teddy Bear head sneakers? Thats original. Clear see through shoes & glow in the dark shoes? Not so original. Nike did that a few years back with its first partial see through shoe in the ESPO Air Force 2 artist series and just last year they created a whole glow in the dark shoe in the Nike Air Max Hyperize.
But I do like how Adidas EVOLVED what Nike started though. And from the look of it, they did make it more interesting.
