adidas Originals MEGA Softcell RL - stepping up their running offering
The new adidas Originals MEGA Softcell RL is another entry by adidas into their subpar running offering. Everyone knows of their dominance in Soccer, and their recent success in basketball, thanks for local boy D Rose of the CHI-Town Bulls. But as far as running shoes, adidas is finally making a huge push by combining their trademark styles with functionality, something that I believe will be very beneficial to the brand. This colorway of the adidas Originals MEGA Softcell RL is definitely going to catch more than a few eyes. Available at select adidas Originals retailers.

SLAM DUNK X Nike Zoom Brave IV - Hanamichi Style
Probably the MOST popular Japanese MANGA in Japan, “Slam Dunk” or Suramu Danku, follows a hot headed trouble maker Sakuragi Hanamichi in his quest to win over the girl of his dream, which happened to love basketball. Thus Sakuragi and his raw talent made the high school basketball team and the rest is history (read it or watch the Anime). For this collaboration, Nike teamed up with Takehiko Inoue, the strip’s creator, to come up with this "Slam Dunk x Nike Air Zoom Brave IV" in a University blue and white colorway. Flywire upper and Zoom Air through the midsole. May 14 is the scheduled release date, in Japan. No words on US release.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Midtop Sneaker
Leave it to Jeremy Scott X Adidas Originals to come out with something even more ludicrous than their previous collaborations. J Scott has done a transparent shoes with wings, kicks with bear heads and not to mentioned all the outrageously fashionable apparels. Can this be the icing on that cake? I hope not, cause a creative mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Nike Free Run+ 2 “City Pack”
With the recent release of many barefoot running inspired footwear in the market, as the leader and the one the competitors looks up to, Nike keeps moving forward with the Nike Free Run+ 2 by offering new colorways to flood the market. Coming in early summer 2011, Nike is set to release the new Nike Free Run+ 2 “City Pack” —featuring five different colorways inspired by runners in five different cities. Beijing is represented by a deep burgundy colorway; Rio de Janeiro’s grit and flair are represented in pine green; New York features the “starkness” of anthracite; Tokyo’s street style is illustrated with straight black (although the “exo-skeleton” features some blue); and the London edition with a sophisticated khaki upper for a refined look.
