Sony Playstation x Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low – Joe Mauer MLB The Show PE | Release Info
So baseball season is upon us once again, meaning that Chicago Cubs fans are at their all time high at being a super douche bag in announcing obnoxiously that their team is going to win the World Series this year. Yeah, same old story each April. But this Spring, Nike and Play Station is collaborating once again to commemorate the release of the MLB The Show video game with Joe Mauer as their cover boy with the release of this super limited Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low featuring great details like Mauer’s ’7M’ logo on an inner tongue label on the right shoe, the video-game artwork on both insoles, the baseball-stitch inspired construction on the toe, and of course the Minnesota Twins colorway of navy blue, red, and white. This limited edition release will be available on April 9th at select retailers like Nike Mall of America, Eastbay, and select Minnesota and Chicagoland retailers. Via Sneakernews.com
NEWSFLASH from China - Nike Zoom Kobe 24 - Lifestyle shoe
My guess is Nike is running our of idea on what else to sell the people of China so they come up with some kinda lifestyle offering from the Zoom Kobe line. Combining elements from pre-existing Nike shoes such as the Air Force 25, Air Royal and the classic Nike Air Force 1, the Nike Zoom Kobe 24 is a more of an off-court lifestyle focus shoe with the DNA of the "Black Mamba". The Zoom Kobe 24 features molded leather uppers with a KB24 logo pressed onto the heel of the shoe. The midsole, which features a bold stitching a la the Air Force 1, features embedded Zoom Air cushioning and a modified outsole traction that would deem it basketball ready. Upper sectionals are also constructed of a snakeskin textured material as well, with three Kobe-specific colorways of White/Concord Purple, a Draft Day-esque White/Black/Orion Blue, and a slithery purple upper with a neon green lining and translucent outsole. No words so far as when it will hit the U.S or its CHINA only since the Chinese LOVES Kobe more than his American fans. Via Kenlu

MELO in the City!
PRAY FOR JAPAN. Ganbatte!!!
Been in a funk lately, too much work and no play is making me a lame duck. With all the stuff happening in Japan, I'be been reading up on nuclear power plants, Tsunamis & earthquakes. Having family & friends out in Japan really puts everything into perspective.

Nike Air Presto - RETRO Summer 2011
Remember these kicks from earlier Y2K? The presto is kinda like that movie, Big Lebowski, during initial release not many liked them, but as the year progresses it started a cult following. Especially with the way Nike is concentrating heavily with the Nike Free well into the London Olympic in 2012, we'll see more and more of these Presto as a secondary offering to compliment the performance based Free. Nike Free Run+ 2 - Nike Running event in Greater China Media Summit
Nike created a media event in Beijing, China to introduced their revolutionary Nike Free. The Nike Free was introduced in 2004 as a form-fitting and minimalistic running shoe for the 21st century. Stripped down to the core of the most primitive styles of running (barefoot), the Nike Free was comprised of a thin and lightweight upper with a Free-grooved sole that offered limitless 360-degree flexion of the foot.
A lot of Chinese folks are not runners, unless they are being chase by their government for an UN-commy-like conduct, then they usually run to another country and continue to breed like bunnies while creating propaganda. But thats another story for a political blog to cover.
Back to the Nike Free. Aside from tapping that huge potential of 2 billion people, Nike could also get itself in trouble by promoting all these FREE. Could Nike be working with the U.S government in sending subliminal messages in FREEing the Tibetans from the hands of communist China? We'll never know. But the Nike Free Run+ 2 that is coming out in a couple of months looks good. Might have cop me a few pairs.
