Nike Kobe Dream Season IV - the take down

The Nike Kobe Dream Season or better known as the TAKE DOWN version of the Nike Zoom Kobe series now enters it's fourth installment. Similar to previous Kobe Dream Season, they will be available in the Asia Pacific and China region only. I am not sure how these sells out there in Asia, but I know Kobe is BIG out there. The fact that the team at Nike Basketball keeps making this in it's fourth year, might be telling us something that we don't know. No signs of Kobe ever wearing any of his take down shoe, but he might start with these since they are a completely different shoe than the current Nike Kobe 7. In fact, from the silhouette, they look like running shoes. But I am glad that the Flywire technology is implemented, however, no explanation of the cushioning system yet. Nike Zoom KD IV "Easter" - Kickz-Lab style photos

I think people in the United States in general has lost the true meaning of Christmas, and now that they are running out of made-up holidays, companies are bartardizing a religious day in Easter. I've heard folks exchanging gifts for Easter? Reserving spots at restaurants for Easter Brunch and now of course buying kicks in specific Easter colors to attend a church that they only go to once a year. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea that there is a shoe company that releases kicks for Easter, but it just shows that EVERYTHING in the U.S has been commercialized to the max, that the HOLIEST of HOLY days can be used as a selling gimmick.

Nike Free Run+ 3 - OUT NOW

Before anyone started making running shoe that mimics barefoot running, Nike brought us the Nike Free. The when everyone started making extreme barefoot running shoes, Nike created the Nike Free Run+, now that all the shoe company has at least one offering in the barefoot category, Nike has at least three. This year, more than ever, Nike is refocusing once again on the Nike Free, after a successful run with the previous two model of the Nike Free Run+, Nike Running restructured this widely popular shoe and the end result is the NEW Nike Free Run+ 3 or the 2012 version. Watch for these and the Nike Free 4.0 & Nike Free 3.0 on the feet of the U.S.A Olympians this August in London, England. Pics via InsideTheSneakerBox.com

NIKE GOLF LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION

Launching April 2, 2012 is the LIMITED EDITION Nike Golf Collection. I wonder if the HYPEBEAST that has been buying up all the LIMITED shoes are going to buy out the entire Nike Golf collection as well? LOL!

The first golf Major of the season is just around the corner, and Nike Golf is celebrating by introducing a new Limited Edition Collection. Inspired by golf’s most hallowed tradition, the three products in the collection commemorate some of golf’s most memorable moments while helping to elevate your game.

Nike Lunar Control (Limited Edition) Men’s Golf Shoe
Nike designers obsessed over every detail to transform this shoe into something truly special with tasteful broguing, premium leather and a green and yellow color scheme that strikes the right chord. Lunarlon cushioning in the heel is ultra-lightweight for excellent comfort and the Nike Power Platform outsole offers the stability and balance the game requires. An accompanying linen shoe bag represents the caddie uniform for a perfect complement to this unique version of a groundbreaking shoe.

Nike Method Concept C1 RH (Limited Edition) Golf Putter
This revolutionary putter blends art and science to give you a smoother stroke and truer roll with less skid for a more precise stroke. How did Nike do it? Engineers created just the right balance of a lightweight aluminum face and heavier stainless steel body resulting in a high MOI-to-head ratio putter. It has the stability of the largest mallets of the game with a small blade-like form and premium, crafted style.

Nike 20XI – X (Green Swoosh Limited Edition) Golf Balls
Rounding out this collection is the ball that helps generate longer distance off the tee and more controlled shots on the green. With a lighter resin core and heavier outer layers never before seen in the industry, internal tests have shown, on average, a two to three mph increase in ball speed. A one mph increase equates to two to three yards carry distance. And that’s an advantage you don’t have to be playing in a Major to appreciate.

Nike LeBron 9 ELITE "South Beach"

When did it become acceptable to charge $250 for a pair of basketball sneakers? Apparently, during a recession. When most people are making ends meet and struggling to pay rent and put food on the table, Nike comes out with a $250 LeBron James signature shoe made for the NBA playoffs. The Nike LeBron 9 regular season shoe was already in the upper echelon in terms of price at $170, and they sold extremely well in certain "LIMITED" colors, now Nike is banking that those same group that bought their $170 offerings will cough up $250 for what Nike tag as their pinnacle basketball shoes. What makes them special? Well according to Nike, they incorporated the most innovative materials and design techniques to take performance to another level by shedding the weight in the construction, enhancing the fit, better dynamic protection and add distinctive colors to create a buzz.

Nike has always been about pushing innovations and creating outrageous buzz around the industry. $250 by today's standard might not be much to certain folks but they are still a hefty amount to pay for basketball shoes. At least they come with extra laces.

Nike Air Yeezy 2 – Wolf Grey – Pure Platinum - April 13, 2012

There are only TWO reactions when you hear about the Nike Air Yeezy 2, you are either excited for them to come out or you get sick to your stomach because you know you have no chance in hell that you'll get them for close to an already outrageous retail price. The first Nike Air Yeezy created such a craze that the 2nd one will be even more CRAY! The LIMITED nature and the price tag stays the same, but now it will only get elevated. If you think the release of those Galaxy Foams were bad, these are gonna be even worst.

NIKE UNVEILS A SERIES OF Nike Unveils the Premium Editions of the Nike Kobe VII, Nike Zoom Hyperdunk and LeBron 9 Designed for the NBA Playoff.

Nike has always been about innovation. One shoe for an entire season is no longer enough, it started out with the LeBron series. When they introduced LeBron shoes for the NBA regular season, then the Playoffs. Last year, they took it a step further by introducing two separate shoes for the regular season AND another one for the Playoffs. Now, BOTH  LeBron and Kobe will get their ELITE playoffs shoes (no words for KD). The Nike Basketball Elite Series includes the Nike Kobe VII, the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk and the LeBron 9, all were completely re-engineered using premium materials and footwear technologies to give the Nike Basketball players the lightweight construction, enhanced fit, dynamic protection and distinctive colors to take their performance to another level.

Home and Away colors are the inspiration for the elegant white and black base of the shoes; as the trophy is the inspiration behind the gold details spread throughout the series. Each style of the Nike Basketball Elite Series worn on court will initially display a special white Swoosh Design. As the playoffs approach, Nike celebrates the player’s achievements by replacing the white Swoosh with a gold one for the final game.

Mid-foot shanks and heel counters on all three styles of the shoe feature carbon fiber, a premium, ultra-thin technical material that makes them lighter and more responsive. And, for the player who has a “strong” game, the LeBron signature shoe includes extra carbon fiber enforcement that flows from the heel all the way to the wing, providing just the right amount of support needed for the moves involved in that style of play.

The Nike Pro Combat inspired padded collar protection -- strategically positioned along the tongue and innersleeves - gives the series a unique aesthetic and the best support for impact and pressure. Made of molded and articulated foam, the collar is extra flexible, allowing it to adapt to the anatomy of the foot and create a superior fit.

The Nike Kobe VII, Nike Zoom Hyperdunk and LeBron 9 uppers all incorporate the highest performance materials, each re-engineered from inside out to ensure that the products are as light as possible. The lightweight construction accommodates the ultra-high tensile strength Flywire made with Kevlar® aramid. This premium material has lower levels of stretch resulting in a stronger and lighter shoe, and a perfect fit.

Last but not least, the series comes with a special sock liner built for internal traction. This combines 3D anatomical fit with non-slip print -- strategically distributed throughout the liner – to reduce the internal movement.

All three Nike Basketball Elite Series shoes - the Nike Kobe VII, Nike Zoom Hyperdunk and LeBron 9 - are available at retail and at www.nikestore.com beginning April 28, 2012.
