Nike Zoom Kobe VII - Four styles for 2012 release

It's the end of another month, when we, the blue collar worker, gets their paycheck and tomorrow the first of the month is when the rent is due. It's a cycle that almost everyone follows, unless you get paid at the beginning of each month or every 2-weeks instead, but that is besides the point. It is a cycle of the working men/women. The same can be said with shoe releases. For the past few years now, the LeBron signature  basketball shoe gets first attention just around August/September, it is then followed by Kobe's Signature shoe which is towards end of October to early December. By January, it's the Air Jordan signature shoe.

Seeing that today is the end of November and tomorrow is December, we FINALLY get blast of colorways for the Nike Zoom Kobe VII that is scheduled to come out in 2012. It's kinda crazy to think that up to this point there is still no 'Christmas' Kobe yet. (We caught a glimpse of it a few weeks ago but not allowed to take pics)

So until the X-Mas colors drops, we, fans of Kobe Nike kicks, will have to make do with the following colorways that are so far pretty dope. Especially with the references to the Sharks and Wolves.

Nike LeBron 9 "Cannon" - Release date

So now that the whole Thanksgiving things are behind us, we step into that familiar territory of buying, buying, and more buying. And Nike is in no shortage of releasing hot offerings, one after another. The Black Cement Retro 3 just dropped last week, the Nike LeBron 9 "The U" just dropped today, Nov 29, 2011 and with the Nike Zoom KD IV, Nike Zoom Kobe VII, Jordan retro XIV and of course the mother of all release coming out December 23rd, 2011, the Retro 11 "Concords", I often wonders how some people are keeping up with all these and not dent their savings account. Plus when you watch the news, reports are coming in that this year's Black Friday shopping numbers are going through the roof and yesterday being Cyber-Monday, the numbers are projected to $1.3 billion dollars. The ONLY word that came to mind when I see all of these is CREDIT.

Anyways, here is the dope LeBron 9 coming out this Friday. The "Cannons" have been on sneakerheadz's radar for quite sometimes now and peepz will finally be able to get their hands of them for this weekend's festivities.

Nike Zoom Kobe VII - NikeID templates

Here is a look at the templates of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII that will be available on NikeID sometimes in December. There are no color palettes available just yet, but we can be sure there will be Laker colors available. As for different patterns those will be made available as the year progresses. Also available for NikeID will be the different sleeves/in-sole for the Nike Zoom Kobe VII. As featured numerous times, Kobe's SEVENTH signature shoe will feature TWO different removable in-sole that are attached to the sockliner. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII ID will be at $180 and the NikeID option for the sleeves will be $55.

Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Weatherman’ - via Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is quite a shoe salesman. If the NBA season was cancelled this year, he would've made a great Brand Manager for Nike cause' this guy definitely knows how to market his own shoe and he does it where and when it matters most.  These images of the ‘Weatherman‘ edition of the Nike Zoom KD IV was personally brought to us by Mr. Kevin Durant. Inspired by his childhood dream of being a weatherman, the shoe features familiar weather patterns and green background of those we've seen on television during the weather report. No official release date as of yet.

Nike "Basketball Never Stops" featuring Kevin Durant

By now, all NBA fans are antsy for Christmas day. The owners and players finally agreed to a 10 years Labor deal. However, there are still specifics that needs to be ironed out so for now, there is still no pro BBall yet, so Nike is still continuing to push their BASKETBALL NEVER STOPS campaign featuring Kevin Durant traveling across the country playing basketball with whomever.

Below is the official excerp from Nike Inc.

Debuting Sunday, November 27, Nike’s Basketball Never Stops campaign continues with the commercial Paint the Town, featuring Kevin Durant. Busy throughout the summer playing basketball around the US and in China, KD has been known to pick up a game with anyone at anytime.  In this spot he’s seen playing with various groups including local seniors, playing one-on-one with artist and friend J. Cole, and going head to head with truckers at a nearby gas station rest stop. Paint the Town is set to the song “Good Times” by legendary vocalist Sam Cooke.

The Basketball Never Stops campaign – including Paint the Town and previously launched Spotlight and Shine commercials – celebrates basketball players at all levels and their true love of the game and desire to play the game no matter the time or place.

The full BasketballNeverStops campaign comes to life online here. This hub is the pulse of the campaign, aggregating content and enabling basketball players and fans to submit and tag content that shows how basketball never stops in their life. To participate, go to or tag your posts on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, or Instagram with #BasketballNeverStops.

The Paint the Town spot was produced by Wieden + Kennedy Portland and Park Pictures (Los Angeles / New York) and directed by Lance Acord.

adidas AdiZero Rose 2 - Christmas edition

So there is talk AGAIN of resolving this Labor dispute among the NBA players and owners. When it comes down to it, its all about the Benjamins. Both sides got money, but they want MORE. What about those without money due to the cancellations of games? Yeah, like I thought, nobody cares for those people that livelihood depends solely on working the games. But for shoe companies, business as usual I guess. Adidas will still launch the Christmas edition of Derrick Rose's second signature shoe that is surprisingly, well compared to the offerings from Nike, kinda plain and boring. But then again, D.Rose is not exactly the life of a party when it comes to personality. He is like the point guard version of Tim Duncan, who also happens to be with Adidas.

I am sure this colorway has something to do with how popular GUCCI is with young millionaires these days. I've been around these catz to now enough, that GUCCI inspired colors sell. Especially among Chicago catz that are crazy over black based sneakers. So this colorway is a definite sell through, at least in the Chicago-land area. Images via Solemovement

Nike Zoom KD IV "NERF" - More detailed images

Launching within a week is the Nike Zoom KDIV "Nerf" featuring a performance benefits of the new Adaptive Fit system, Hyperfuse construction and Zoom Air. But what makes this shoe POPS is the unique inspiration behind it.  The shoe is a palate for Nerf’s iconic graphics and bright color pops, with a special “KD35” graphic on the tongue in Nerf’s classic print. As Nike Basketball’s first shoe featuring the Adaptive Fit system, this new model uses a synthetic strap that wraps up from the inside of the upper and integrates with the laces for superior support.

Designed by Nike Basketball Design Director, Leo Chang with direct insights from Kevin Durant, it pays tribute to his team and family with details incorporated into the outsole including a lightning bolt traction pattern on the outsole representing KD’s team, “Big Chucky” on the heel pays tribute to KD’s late childhood mentor and coach, and initials “WP” in the shape of a heart on each toe represent Kevin’s parents. The Nike Zoom KDIV Nerf edition will feature a special box that will include a limited edition Nerf hoop and ball. This special energy colorway of the KDIV launches in limited availability at select retailers late November.

Nerf is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc.
